What sort of monitors do you use? Why not use CRTs?

All of our arcades use LCD displays. Our larger upright Vision 29, Vision 32, and Vision 40 units use widescreen monitors running at 720p minimum, depending on monitor availability. The Cocktail, Cabaret, and Retro model arcades use 4:3 sized screens at 1280x1024. 

Unfortunately, while CRTs provide the most accurate arcade experience, they are also old, hard to find in good condition, tend to fail due to their age, and are expensive. Modern LCDs can display most games with only the scan lines missing.
