Testing and resetting the controls

If you think there may be an issue with the controls, it should be fairly easy to reset them and test them with our included software.

Start in the Dream Arcades menu.

Press the red Exit button followed by the blue Start/Select button. You should now be on the Windows desktop.

Use the trackball to move the mouse cursor to the bottom left corner to show the Start bar, and press the black button to the upper left of the trackball to left click on the Start button.

In the Start menu, near the top should be a listing for either "Ultimarc WinIPAC" or "Arcade Interface Programmer". Move the mouse cursor over this listing and left click on it. A window showing a rough layout of your arcade's control panel should have appeared.

If your arcade uses Ultimarc WinIPAC:

Left click on the button in the bottom right corner labeled "Program", then wait around 10 seconds. A second small window should have opened and closed during this time.

After giving the controls time to finish resetting, test out the various buttons and joysticks. When a button or joystick is pressed, the corresponding one on screen should light up slightly.

On arcades that include controls for players three and four, there will be another version of the WinIPAC software to these. In the Start menu, look for a shortcut named "WinIPAC P3-4" to test and reset the player three and four controls.

If any of the buttons or joystick directions do not seem to work correctly after resetting the controls, please contact us through our support system and we'll assist you with diagnosing the problem.

Note: The green lighted button may appear stuck on screen after pressing it once. This is a display issue and does not effect the use of the arcade.

If your arcade uses the Arcade Interface Programmer:

Left click on the "Reset Controls" button in the bottom center of the screen, then wait around 5 seconds.

After giving the controls time to finish resetting, test out the various buttons and joysticks. When a button or joystick is pressed, the corresponding one on screen should light up slightly.

On arcades that include controls for players three and four, the window will automatically switch to show the player three and four controls when one of their buttons or joysticks is pressed.

If any of the buttons or joystick directions do not seem to work correctly after resetting the controls, please contact us through our support system and we'll assist you with diagnosing the problem.

Note: If the Arcade Interface Programmer window has a blank white space above the "Reset Controls" button, the control board may have come unplugged. This board will be located on the right wall inside your arcade. Double check that the mini-USB cable is firmly attached to the board and there is a red light on it.

To re-enter the Dream Arcades menu after you've finished, left click the red X in the upper right corner of the controls window to close it. Either locate the shortcut on the desktop for the Dream Arcades menu and double left click on it, or power down the arcade and then turn it back on.
